Refrigeration units
We supply, fit and service Carrier Transicold refrigeration units — for vans, trucks and semi-trailers.

Unit mounting
Where does the unit sit?
Which mounting is possible depends on the vehicle. Pick your vehicle to see which mountings are possible and where the unit sits.
On truck box bodies, only bulkhead and underslung mounting are possible.
Possible mounting
Against the bulkhead, ahead of the load space. The roof stays clear.
Temperature range
What a temperature range means in practice
Sensitive deep-freeze
Down to −30°C
For deep-frozen goods such as ice cream.
Deep-freeze
Down to −25°C
Frozen foodstuffs and meat that has to hold the freezer chain, up to heated transport.
Chilled
Down to −5°C
Fresh produce, dairy, flowers and chilled transport around and above zero.
−18 °C is the line between chilled and frozen
Anything below it asks for a heavier unit AND heavier insulation. The range you actually reach is the unit and the body together — never the unit on its own.
Multi-temperature
Two or three compartments at different temperatures, each with its own evaporator. For distribution where frozen and fresh go out on the same vehicle.
Heating is part of the job
Many units heat as well as cool. In a frost, holding +2 °C is just as much an instruction — which is why the models also state a heating capacity.
How it is driven
Three ways to power a refrigeration unit. They differ in weight, in running cost and in where you will be allowed to drive.
Own diesel engine
The unit carries its own diesel engine and runs independently of the vehicle — parked or uncoupled. What semi-trailers and heavy distribution use.
Engineless
No engine of its own on board. The unit is powered from the vehicle through a generation module such as Eco-Drive or Eco-Drive T. Less maintenance, less fuel, quieter.
Electric (battery)
Powered from a battery pack such as AddVolt. No emissions and almost no noise at the unloading bay — what low-emission zones and night deliveries ask for.
Eco-Drive, Eco-Drive T and AddVolt: we fit and service all three ourselves.

We fit it. And we keep it running.
You buy a refrigeration unit once and run it for ten years. Here it is fitted in our own workshop, and it stays with the same team for service afterwards.

Fitted in our own workshop
We build the unit onto your vehicle ourselves — and the insulated body under it where that is needed.
